Welcome to Nittany Valley
Engine 17 Lifeflight

Nittany Valley Volunteer Fire Company is home to Clinton County Station 17. Established in 1948, we have been proudly serving our community for years, and plan to keep the tradition going for many more! We are based out of one station in the small village of Lamar, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. We provide primary Fire and EMS services to approximately 1,450 residents that reside within Porter Township.

We provide automatic and mutual aid to our neighboring departments within Clinton County, as well as multiple Departments within Centre County. Our funding is based on fundraisers consisting of Raffles, Dinners, Auctions, an annual Fund Drive, and sometimes we are fortunate enough to receive grants. Our primary 1st due district consists of approximately 25 square miles, as well as 19 miles of the major highway Interstate 80. Our district is a mix of Agricultural Farmland, Suburban Style Residential Housing, a small Business District, and Forested Mountain Terrain.

It is the Mission of the Nittany Valley Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. to professionally protect the lives and property of those who reside, visit and travel through Porter Township, Clinton County and it's surrounding areas.
This is accomplished by providing the highest quality of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services to those in need through the dedication of trained Volunteers using the best equipment and resources available, while having mindset towards training, fire prevention, service, safety and progression.
